    Your El Questro adventure begins with the journey itself. Tucked away in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia the most direct way to get to us is via the town of Kununurra.

    From Kununurra, El Questro Station is 110 kms west: 58 kms on the Great Northern Highway towards Wyndham, 36 kms on a sealed section of the Gibb River Road, with the remaining 16 kms on a gravel road.
    You will need a 4WD to get into El Questro Station.
    Some other reports say El Questro Emma Gorge is 83 kms west: 58 kms on the Great Northern Highway towards Wyndham and then 25 kms on a sealed section of the Gibb River Road. The gravel driveway is 2 km and can be accessed by 2WD vehicles during the dry.

    Self-driving
    The entrance to El Questro is accessed mainly via sealed roads, The 'driveway' to the Station is a 16km unsealed corrugated section of road with several rocky water crossings into the Station; the water crossings being approximately 300-500mm in depth depending on the time of year, we do recommend high clearance 4WD only accessing the Station and the Homestead.
    From Kununurra, El Questro Emma Gorge is 83 kms west: 58 kms on the Great Northern Highway towards Wyndham and then 25 kms on a sealed section of the Gibb River Road.
    The gravel driveway is 2 km and can be accessed by 2WD vehicles during the dry.
    A small creek crossing is located 300m from the entrance to the resort.
    We recommend checking with our onsite team that your 2WD vehicle can travel through the crossing at the start of the season.

    To reach Emma Gorge at El Questro Wilderness Park from Kununurra, drive west on the Gibb River Road, which is 83 km away. The first 58 km are on the Great Northern Highway towards Wyndham, then 25 km on the sealed Gibb River Road. The final 2 km driveway to Emma Gorge is unsealed and requires a 4WD
